Established in 1994, we are an independent, international, non-profit, non-political environment group dedicated to recognising, rewarding and promoting environmental best practice around the world.

Key to these aims are our International Green Apple Environment Awards, presented every year in the Houses of Parliament, Palace of Westminster, London, to companies, councils and communities who are doing their best for the environment.

We also run the Green World Awards, presented every year in a different country.

We publish many of the award-winning papers in our Green Book, the world’s only annual work of reference on environmental best practice, which we distribute free of charge all over the UK and around the world to commerce and industry, central and local governments, environment professionals, universities, reference libraries, ministers, the media, etc. – enabling them to learn and benefit from the experience and expertise of our winners.

The Green Apple Environment Awards is one of the few British campaigns to be accepted as an automatic feeder scheme into the Brussels-led European Business Awards for the Environment – and many of our winners have gone on to represent their country and win further success abroad.

The Institute of Administrative Management (IAM) is one of the oldest management institutes in the UK having inspired professional business managers and administrators since 1915. Co-founders and directors Caroline Swailes and Heather de Groot met working for Bibby Line Group, who have been at the forefront of responsible business since 2006. By championing and sharing the businesses commitments to its people, communities and planet, they successfully engaged 5,000 employees to donate in excess of £6m to charitable causes and their local communities.

Going on to consult in communications and corporate social responsibility, they recognised the need to support and nurture a business to confidently define and manage all of their ESG activities internally.

In doing so, they founded Be Ethical Training and have created a 12-month training membership, coaching programme and online community for business owners and their employees to build and manage all of their ESG activity.

The training will help a business to understand how to measure and report those activities, understanding their social value and impact, bringing countless benefits to that organisation, its people and the planet.

The PA Club

The PA Club was founded in 2006 with the aim of enhancing the lives and careers of our PA and EA members, and enabling selected suppliers to meet senior decision-makers in hundreds of companies, via a number of channels, both direct and indirect, and over a period of time.

We have built up a database of some 15,000 senior PAs and EAs, Event Bookers and Travel Managers, including significant memberships in New York, Zurich and Paris. Our members work for a huge variety of businesses, from the big banks, insurance companies and law firms, to SMEs in media, tech, fintech and real estate, as well as for HNW individuals. All are vetted for seniority and spending-power before becoming members of the Club.

We questionnaire them regularly for a full and up-to-date understanding of their business needs, spending patterns and budget.

Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB) is a group of genetic skin conditions that cause the skin to blister and tear at the slightest touch.

Those born with EB have skin so fragile they are called 'butterfly children' – their skin is quite simply as fragile as the wing of a butterfly. Painful open wounds and sores form where this exceptionally fragile skin is damaged – in some cases, internal linings and organs are also affected. Complications as a result of secondary infection and extensive scarring are factors that people living with EB often have to face.

Tragically, certain types of EB can be fatal in infancy and others are severely life-limiting. We estimate that more than 5,000 people are living with EB in the UK, and 500,000 worldwide.

EB may be inherited in either a dominant or recessive form. In dominant EB, one parent usually carries the gene and is affected by the condition themselves, while the birth of a child suffering from the recessive form is usually totally unexpected since both parents can carry the EB gene without displaying the condition themselves. In dominant EB, there is a 50% chance of passing the disorder to children: in recessive EB the chance is 25%.

EB can also arise through a new spontaneous mutation – neither parent carries EB but the gene mutates spontaneously in either the sperm or the egg before conception.

Buddy Bag Foundation

48,000 children require emergency accommodation in the UK each year. Children fleeing violent situations often have to leave home quickly without the chance to collect basic items. These children arrive in emergency accommodation with just the clothes they are wearing.

Buddy Bag Foundation restores a sense of safety and security into a child’s life during a traumatic time is one of the first steps to recovery. Buddy Bags are something a child can call their own, no matter where they go. Tailored across a wide age range from new born babies to teenagers, they contain all the essential items a child needs straight away, such as toiletries, pyjamas, socks and underwear. They also include comfort items, such as a book, and a teddy bear.

We also host Team Building Buddy Bag Brigades where we bring together a group of Volunteers to help pack 180 Buddy Bags which are delivered to children in Women’s Refuge.

Luke Tyburski

Luke grew up in a small Australian town and achieved his boyhood dream of becoming a professional footballer. By his mid twenties his body had begun to break down and he begun a long battle with depression, suicidal thoughts and self harm.

Luke eventually retired from football in his late twenties and again descended into a deep depression. To escape this he turned to ultra endurance sports and found that this gave him direction and purpose. Luke is well known for his challenges and has teamed with LEJOGLE for the Speak Up Tour in aid of The Mental health Foundation.

The LEJOGLE Speak Up Tour is creating a platform to create the conversations that are desperately needed, in order to address the state of the UK’s mental health. A month-long mental health conversation up and down the UK, following Luke as he takes on a never before attempted physical challenge, cycling and then running Land’s End to John o’ Groats back to back, in just 31 days.

    NAZ TOROPDAR advises both corporations and voluntary sector organisations across different industries – including professional services, construction, INGOs and grant making - on corporate social responsibility (CSR), philanthropy, governance and operations matters. He is an accountant and project manager with considerable commercial experience.

    In the early part of his career, he held commercial facing roles within a FMCG company and with his passion for the community, Naz also led the CSR for this bluechip – delivering fresh new ideas around sustainability and community engagement.

    Edward Packshaw, is a qualified sustainability specialist with experience in corporate CSR and sustainable education. Edward can support organisations with carbon footprinting, net-zero or carbon-positive planning, CSR strategy and policy development, volunteer programme development and carbon offsetting. He specialises in education, meaning he can also deliver workshops and training to help companies better understand their impact.

    Edward is also the founder of the Responsible Schools Project, aimed at helping schools become carbon and community positive, having spent 5 years building Africa’s first sustainable school.
