CSR-A inspired and impressed by 13 year old Josh

We were thrilled to be introduced to 13-year-old Josh when he presented his business, Mustard’s Miracle Services, to Marlow & District Chamber of Trade & Commerce. Josh started making and selling dog biscuits during lockdown after family friends bought him a dog-biscuit machine for Christmas. Since then, Josh has made over 10,000 treats – 10 at a time!

What inspired us at CSR-A was the fact that Josh put social responsibility at the heart of his business. To reduce impact on the environment, he uses recycled bags and delivers his product on foot or by bicycle, often cycling up to 35 kilometres. For a week last May, he donated 25% of profits to his lockdown hero, Captain Tom’s NHS fund. In the run-up to Christmas, Josh created gift bags to promote local businesses and encourage people to #supportlocal. He also donated half of the proceeds to Foodshare Maidenhead, a charity which helps disadvantaged families.

Josh is an example to us all and a perfect illustration of how important socially responsible actions are to the new generation of entrepreneurs who will be shaping the business landscape for years to come.
