CSR-A open a new office in Bahrain CSR-A Arabia

It is with great pleasure that I can announce our new CSR-A office in Bahrain.

Thanks to Dr. Hanaa Al Banna and Prof.Dr. Ali Alibrahim of the International Union of Social Responsibility for their support.

This provides us with a great opportunity to share our holistic approach to social responsibility throughout the MENA region.

Supported by our CSR Training and the CSR Accreditation Scheme we hope to see an increasing level of evidenced social impact to help build a better world for future generations by improving the environment and ensuring a cohesive community to live and work in.

What is CSR Accrediation?
Achieving CSR Accreditation is a visible testimony of excellence in Social Responsibility .
The accreditation helps you integrate social, environmental, ethical, human rights and consumer concerns into your business operations and strategy.

The establishment of a CSR Accreditation is a crucial component of a company’s competitiveness and something that should be led by the business itself. For companies, the overall aim is to achieve a positive impact on society as a whole while maximising the creation of shared value for the owners of the business, its employees, shareholders and stakeholders.

CSR Accreditation is an effective way to benchmark what you are already doing with regard to social responsibility. It is a process in which you collate, measure and report on your organisation’s socially responsible activities. An accreditation will also provide you with a roadmap for planning future activity. The Accreditation application process provides a simple and straightforward template where you can record activity against the Social Responsibility Four Pillars of environment, workplace, community and philanthropy. Each Social Responsibility Pillar is designed to help you impact report on areas such as energy performance, recycling, staff engagement, health and well-being, community engagement and supporting local and national charities.

CSR Accreditation looks at your organisation’s impacts on employees, suppliers, clients and communities / charities and helps you develop an audit / report which forms the basis of your Social Responsibility road map.

CSR Accreditation helps with ESG (Environmental Social Governance) reporting and in identifying the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDG’s) which you may wish to support.

Is CSR Accreditation for our organisation?
Challenging the ‘C’ in CSR – Increasingly the term ‘corporate’ has been challenged.
This is because it excludes a large number of stakeholders, specifically the third and public sectors and because ‘corporate’ does not encompass sole traders or smaller SME’s. For this reason we have defined the ‘C’ in CSR to be more inclusive. We now recommend that the ‘C’ has a wider focus of audience specific meanings.

  • Large Companies – Corporate Social Responsibility (Private Sector)
  • Sole Traders and SME’s – Company Social Responsibility (Private Sector)
  • Local Authorities, Schools, Hospitals etc – Community Social Responsibility (Public Sector)
  • Charities – Charitable Social Responsibility (Third Sector)
  • Products & Services – Consumer Social Responsibility
  • Training & Workshops – Citizen Social Responsibility
  • All of Us – Collective Social Responsibility

We can then surround these meanings with a Caring, Cohesive approach Common to the wider Collective.
