I have just finished reading a truly remarkable book by Mike Jennings called Valu Able.

A true personal journey where Mike explores the clear benefits of moving away from a pure profit / income business model to one that shows that by putting people first, i.e. social and environmental responsibility, it is possible to build a financially sustainable business.

Mike explains that by working from a set of behavioral values which unite the team through a clear statement of purpose you can build personal self confidence, which in turn enable the business to grow and succeed by attracting good customers, good suppliers and good employees.

The outcome is a stronger, more resilient business with loyal customers and suppliers, an inspiring team, and a financially secure business.
