CSR-A Speak at the BKR Regional Conference in Athens
It was a real pleasure to have been asked to deliver a keynote talk on Social responsibility and ESG in Athens for the BKR International EMEA & Asia-Pacific Joint Regional Conference.
I was thrilled with the response and passion in the room to engage with CSR as an essential business strategy.
It was a pleasure to listen to and meet some of the other speakers at the BKR International Conference in Athens during the weekend. This year’s theme is “Your People, Your Future”
Thank you to Theo Delyannis An accounting and auditing specialist who delivered a talk on ‘Integrated Thinking and Creating Long Term Value’ which focused on how purpose and value should run throughout an organisations culture.
And Julia Penny President for the ICAEW who gave an interactive session on “A Culture Of Quality” discussing various processes that firms can apply internally including looking at social value.
It was really good to see how these topics integrated a strong sense of social responsibility as an essential strategy in creating a positive corporate culture.
It is really impressive to see the BKR membership of independent accounting and business advisory firms looking to build a strong company culture that positively impacts people and productivity and empowers employees to do environmental and social good. this delivers both social and financial value through staff engagement, retention, attracting talent, efficiencies, tendering and reputation.
