CSR-A has joined the All Parties Parliamentary Group (APPG) on ESG
We are delighted to be on the APPG on ESG panel to help define the role and function of ESG and how it sits with existing CSR and Sustainability frameworks.
Recent shifts in national consciousness concerning environmental and social causes, combined with increasingly stringent company reporting requirements, have placed Environmental, Social, and Governance considerations high on the agenda of British businesses.
Committing to social and environmental practices may seem overwhelming at first. However, when properly implemented, a CSR policy and good ESG performance can provide the guiding principles that make social commitments actionable and directly beneficial to all stakeholders. Considering the business benefits and the meaningful social differences we can make with such practices, it is definitely a win-win situation.
MP for Rother Valley and Member of the Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy Committee (BEIS), Alexander Stafford, founded the APPG for ESG in 2021.
The groups ambition is to deepen the understanding of ESG principles and values among British businesses, helping corporate leaders to build it into business strategies and decision-making at the highest levels. And to Ensure the importance of ESG is recognised not just in the corporate world, but also by government departments.
